You can request deletion of your personal information, such as your name, email, or phone number, at any time. However, diagnostic, maintenance, and aggregated data associated with your vehicle may be kept in de-identified form, as this information helps us enhance our products and services for everyone.

6. Vehicle Diagnostics Disclaimer
The insights and diagnostic data provided by Scanz are designed to help you better understand your vehicle. However, no technology can detect every possible issue. Our insights are not a substitute for professional inspection or repair. For safety and maintenance concerns, you should always consult a licensed automotive professional. Some diagnostic information may be incorrect. It is the responsibility of the user to contact a service center for verification and diagnostic information.
7. Keeping Your Data Safe
We take the responsibility of safeguarding your information seriously and use industry-standard technical, administrative, and physical measures to help protect it. That said, no system is completely secure. We believe in being open about that fact, and while we do everything possible to protect your information, we cannot promise absolute security. By using Scanz, you acknowledge this reality, and we remain committed to minimizing risks wherever possible.
8. Data Retention
We keep information only for as long as it is needed to provide our services, meet legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. Retaining vehicle diagnostic, performance, and maintenance data, even in de-identified form, also helps us improve the accuracy and usefulness of our services over time.
9. Dispute Resolution & Limitations
While we aim to deliver reliable and valuable services, sometimes issues may arise. If a concern cannot be resolved informally, any disputes related to this Privacy Statement or our services will be handled through binding arbitration in the State of Utah under the rules of the American Arbitration Association. Either party may bring an individual action in small claims court for disputes within its jurisdiction. All arbitration proceedings shall be confidential. By using Scanz, you agree that disputes will be resolved individually and not through class actions or jury trials.
In addition, our liability is limited: if something goes wrong, Scanz's total responsibility is capped at the amount you have paid us, if any, in the twelve (12) months prior to the issue. This ensures fairness while allowing us to continue providing affordable and innovative services.
10. Children's Privacy
Scanz's services are not designed for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them. If we discover that we have inadvertently collected information from a child under 13, we will take immediate steps to delete it.
